Gravel bike route

Setting off from Riccione, the first kilometres towards the south allow you to warm up your legs on the seafront between the seaside resorts of the Riviera. Just before Misano Adriatico you’ll reach the Romagna countryside and continue along some climbs and descents on dirt roads to the picturesque hamlet of Valliano, where you can have a break and admire the fifteenth century frescoes of the sanctuary. Here begins the climb to Montescudo: almost 300 metres above sea level; you will cycle along a paved road, but don’t take it too lightly as there are some decidedly steep climbs. Once you have conquered the summit, you’ll descend towards Monte Colombo among the evocative ridge landscapes of the area, and then continue among the natural surroundings of the Conca Valley up to the basin by the same name and its natural oasis. From here you’ll return to the seafront and to the starting point.
