The hills of Sassofeltrio and the Conca river

Hiking route

This extensive hiking route is characterised by a significant difference in altitude, connecting the banks of the Conca river to the Sassofeltrio hills. Starting from the Fratte car park, head uphill to the medieval village of Sassofeltrio then follow the descent to Gesso and its quarries. After a regenerating break at the waterfalls of the Marano stream, head up the hill to reach the provincial road then continue downhill towards Mercatino Conca. Follow the path along the right bank of the Conca river and, after around 6 kilometres, return to the starting point.
