Rimini and the Marecchia

Hiking route

The looped itinerary of Rimini and the Canale Marecchia starts at the railway station and continues through the Maria Callas Urban Park until reaching the sea. Continue along the Lungomare Tintori until coming to the eastern pier, after which head up the Portocanale on the right bank before crossing over the Ponte della Resistenza. Continue to the Marecchia river then climb up to Parco XXV Aprile. Next, cross the Porto Canale once more, taking the thousand-year-old Tiberius Bridge. Before returning to the station and completing the loop, we recommend visiting the main attractions in the historic town centre of Rimini – Piazza Cavour, Teatro Galli, the Vecchia Pescheria, Rocca Malatestiana, Piazza Tre Martiri, the Domus del Chirurgo, Arco d’Augusto and the Tempio Malatestiano.
