Hiking route

Discover the beauty of the Marecchia river with this level loop route that sets out on Viale XXIII Settembre in Rimini. The starting point is easily reached from Riccione by public transport. Following the dirt bike path on the left bank of the river, you come to the Ponte degli Scout (also simply referred to as the ‘wooden bridge’). Here, cross the watercourse. Continue along the right bank for some 6 kilometres, past wetlands and green areas, crossing the river once more before passing through the XXV Aprile urban park and returning to the starting point. Do wear comfortable shoes and carry a water bottle with you. The best times of day to complete this route are early in the morning or late in the afternoon.
