Hiking route

On this easy loop walk, explore the charming rural landscape of Gemmano and discover some important remnants dating back to the Second World War. Starting from the car park near the historical town, go up to the iron cross on Monte Gardo, once the site of bloody battles. After passing Zollara, a path halfway up the hillside, savour extensive views of the gullies. Once you reach Farneto, take time out to visit the ex Church of San Michele, where the heroic deeds of the parish priest during the war are still remembered. From Farneto, return to Gemmano to conclude the route. Before getting to Riccione, visit the historical town centre where black and white pictures tell the story of the war.
