Casteldimezzo and Monte San Bartolo Park

Hiking route

This 5-kilometre loop trail, with an elevation of about 100 metres, starts at the port of Baia Vallugola then winds through the Monte San Bartolo Regional National Park. The trail passes through stretches of woodland, expansive cultivated fields then, after a short climb, reaches the promontory on which stands the village of Casteldimezzo, where the most scenic part of the route begins. For about 2 kilometres, walk along the path known as the ‘roof of the world’, passing right along the edge of the cliff to offer extraordinary views of the sea below. Finally, a short descent brings you back to the starting point, the port of Vallugola.
