Gravel bike route

Starting from the Riccione seafront and cycling in the direction of Misano Adriatico, we continue south of the Conca river along dirt roads which, from San Giovanni in Marignano take us up to Montegridolfo. This ancient 13th-century town is famous for its Malatesta Castle, which guards the ridge between the Conca valley and the hills of the Marche region. The climb continues a little longer, up to Mount Zaccarelli. After a short downhill stretch, the route climbs gently up to the elegant mediaeval town of Saludecio: the perfect place for a break, with views of the Conca valley and the hills of the Marche region. From here, the road drops down alongside the Ventena river valley to Pianventena. At this point, we turn in the direction of the coast, first along the Conca river to the Conca basin and its nature park and then along the roads of the Romagna countryside to Riccione.
