Road bike route

Ideal for those who love climbs, this route crosses Romagna and le Marche in the territory which extends between the coastal towns of Pesaro, Fano and the hilly towns of Candelara and Tavullia. Starting from Cattolica, the route initially goes through the Nature reserve of Monte San Bartolo with several uphill and downhill stretches, particularly difficult also due to the huge number of bends – this stretch is particularly appreciated by local cyclists as it is sheltered from the wind and always cool, even in the summer months. Leaving the coast of Fano behind, the route continues towards the hills in the hinterland where you will have to tackle two challenging climbs before returning to Cattolica: the one towards the village of Candelara (renowned for its medieval festival) and the one towards Tavullia (birthplace of Valentino Rossi).
